Yes. For each domain you register through world4you, the SSL certificate can be downloaded. Go to my.world4you.com under Package > Domains > SSL / TLS . Click on the "Download Certificate" button. If the "Download Certificate" option is not available immediately, the download must still be activated for you. In this case, click on "Request Certificate & Private Key" on the same page. Then the option will appear a little later in your customer area. After clicking on Download Certificate a dialog will appear where you can confirm the download with your >my.world4you.com password.

Can I install SSL at world4you with an external web server?

If you have a DomainOnly product (a domain without web hosting) active with us, this is generally possible. You have to download your SSL certificate for this and then upload it to the external provider. The download of your SSL certificate is possible on my.world4you.com under Package > Domains > SSL/TLS . How the subsequent upload of the certificate to the external provider works varies greatly from provider to provider: Since we do not have access to the administration of your external server, we can unfortunately not make any settings for you or offer any assistance. Most of the time it is not easy – besides some other features – to get SSL certificates if you use an external web server. For this reason, we usually recommend – of course only if the web project allows it – to combine domain and webspace at world4you. In order to be able to help you in the best possible way, we recommend that you reset the DNS records to the default. This way you will use the web servers of world4you again. You can restore the default values on my.world4you.com under Package > Domains > DNS .

What happens to websites without an SSL certificate?

Websites without an SSL certificate are flagged as insecure by popular browsers. Users may either be unable to access the site or receive a security warning and won't trust your site. If visitors still proceed to the website, their data is not protected from third-party access and can be used maliciously.
